Our eighth graders arrived in Rome this morning and have had a great first day in the Eternal City.
They toured the Pantheon, visited Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, Piazza Navona and the Fontana di Trevi.
A break for some refreshing gelato in the Piazza certainly helped with any jet lag!
The boys are in Italy for the Italian Study Tour, a capstone experience in the Eighth Grade humanities class.
Over the next 10 days, they and their teachers will visit sites in Rome, Assisi and Florence where they will experience in situ so many of the works of art and architecture that they have studied about this year.
I look forward to joining them in a few days. A presto!
