The boys in Belvedere Courtyard within the Vatican Museum, late at night where they examine in situ the 'Apollo Belvedere,' an idealized piece, that inspired Bernini in sculpting Apollo and Daphne at the Borgese; and the 'Laocoon,' a sculpture of a father and his son intwined by a snake, from ancient mythology. This piece too inspired many Renaissance sculptors, including Michelangelo.
